blah-ging

so, i think blogging is really fun but with our mac computer i haven't figured out how to add all the little cutsey add ins like you all have and out your pictures spaced fun throughout the post. all i have on mine are spell check and add pictures. so if anyone else is blogging on a mac and would like to share some wisdom with me i would love you forever. also i like to go around and read other people's blogs (yes, even people i don't know) but i have to tell you it's starting to make me feel like a horrible mom. i look at the cute crafty things you all do for your kids and i realized my poor kids sure got jipped. i don't own a sewing machine so i therefor don't own cute scraps of fabric. i tried to sew one time and i about had a panic attack. i don't really have a creative bone in my body. i have a mountain of scrapbooking stuff, but have yet to use it because i get such anxiety about messing up. maybe i will make josh buy me a sewing machine and just start with the simplest pattern. what is the easiest thing to sew??

My first sewing project was a quilt - you tie 2 sheets together with yarn (and cotton batting in between) and then sew a pre-made edge around the outsides (found at the fabric store). It's pretty easy

I am not great at sewing, but I managed to make Charlotte's bed skirt and bumper pad cover and cover her baby bjorn. It takes a little practice. I am still working on it.

I cannot sew well...but I can make blankies and jammie pants. I learned these two simple things from my mom, who is the bomb-diggity at all things sewn. I know pillows are about as simple as it gets...
